Once I put an image in a post the only way to remove it is to start over or to get into the html?

I've been getting little grey "x"s on the corners of my pictures if I go into edit on mobile. You should be able to remove them that way

Isn't there a little X in the top right corner of the photo?

The editor is getting really hinky for me. After putting in a picture, I have trouble adding text below. I have to do the text, then add the picture at the end.

No if you mouse over the top right corner of an image a little cross should appear that'll make it go away.

I sometimes too have trouble adding text under an image.

Not anymore, as others have pointed out though, there is an X in the top right corner now.
